About Me

Reese Asson is a Boise, Idaho–based fine artist known for his cinematic surreal style. A fusion of dramatic lighting, symbolic composition, and graphic precision. Blending realism with imagination, his work exists at the intersection of fine art and visual storytelling, creating scenes that feel intentional, theatrical, and emotionally charged.
Before focusing on original collections, Reese spent over five years building his foundation through custom artwork and large-scale mural projects. As a professional mural artist in Boise, he developed a reputation for transforming walls into immersive visual statements. His experience spans digital illustration, branding, murals, children’s books, and commissioned pieces across multiple mediums, sharpening both his technical precision and compositional control.

In 2024, Reese was selected as a winner in Art & Soul of the Magic Valley, a prominent regional art competition held in Twin Falls, Idaho. The event draws artists from across the Western United States and features significant prize awards, with artwork displayed publicly throughout the community.
Today, Reese creates murals, original works and limited-edition fine art prints defined by cinematic surrealism and conceptual realism. His pieces are built around strong central subjects, controlled color environments, and layered symbolism. Rather than abstract chaos, his work is composed and deliberate.
Each piece is driven by a commitment to quality, meaning, and emotional impact. Reese creates art that is meant to be felt, not just seen. Inviting viewers into constructed worlds where realism bends and imagination takes form.
